I'd like to thank my sister's care coordinator and Help in the Home's professional, consistent and caring support. My sister had not been on a vacation in years. Recently, she went to the beach with her care coordinator. The day was priceless for her and Help in the Home made it possible. I am happy to recommend Help in the Home to other's who might be looking for support for a family member.

Hi. HELP IN THE HOME has assisted my family with placing my mother in a residential facility for her. The case manager for my mother treated her with the care and respect. My mother's main Dx is bipolar/addiction/hyperchondria. It was always most important that she be treated with respect while introducing her to a residential treatment where she can feel at home. My mother and my family deserved all the blessings that you brought to our family. GOD BLESS!!

To whom it may concern, I wish to thank Help in the home staff for all their efforts to help make my sister successful in her living situation and treatment over the past 13 months. She has not had a single hospitalization for a mental health issue in that whole time, which has not happened in over 30 years! My sister has several mental health diagnoses including depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorder and previous drug/alcohol abuse- dating back to early adulthood. She has never been able to hold a job more than a few months. She has also never been able to be successful in whatever living situation she was in- group home, assisted care facility, room rental etc. She either ran away or was asked to leave for non-compliance with rules. However, the staff at Help in the Home have been able to reach her and teach her over this past year. They have been able to communicate their care for her as a person as well as gently- but firmly- setting and enforcing realistic limits with her. They provided a detailed personal care plan incorporating my sister, myself, medical providers and staff. And these plans and progress were well communicated so that all were on “the same page”. Though not without difficulty, she has been able to learn some improved skills in cooperation, communication, and responsibility. Sincerely, Lynn Cherrier

south Florida

HITH saved my life, or certainly my sanity. Three months after moving from Montg Co to south Florida my 30 year old daughter living in Silver Spring who has several long term emotional issues had emergency back surgery. I was able to spend a week with her after she left the hospital, but if there wasn't HIYH I don't know what I would have done. They provided caring, efficient, help whenever it was needed and gave me and my daughter peace of mind, something that is "priceless." Thank You!

My husband and I first heard about Help In The Home when our daughter was hospitalized and diagnosed with a mental illness. We knew we no longer had the ability to care for her at home. The staff at Help In The Home provided a safe environment with the supervision and structure she needs. It has been gratifying to see our lovely daughter become more stable, more mature and more independent under the guidance of Rayetta Dunham and her staff. Even better, our daughter takes pride in her achievements. She is now returning to school to earn her diploma. I have no doubt she will be a contributing member of society.

When my aunt elderly, with schizophrenia needed a watchful companion, the Help in the Home caregiver was responsible and compassionate. Stacy and Rayetta's management was knowledgeable, caring, and helpful with problem-solving.
